Key ingredients

  • Sea Salt
Produced from sea water this is a mix of many minerals such as sodium, chloride, sulphate, magnesium and calcium, rather than just familiar salt. These have numerous benefits, for example magnesium can be absorbed by the skin and is known to relax tense muscles. Thanks to this, sea salt pools and treatments are often used in spas.
  • Seaweed
Kelp, Irish Moss and Bladderwrack - The three types of seaweed used are rich in many skin loving ingredients. When wet, seaweed releases soft mucilage - a type of polysaccharide which is a soothing substance, beneficial to many skin conditions, and especially dry skin, thanks to its moisturising qualities. Additionaly, Seaweed is commonly used in detox body wraps due to its unique properties.
  • Green Illite Clay
Also known as Sea Clay, this luxurious clay contains deposits of marine algae and is highly rich in minerals, giving it its rich green colour. Thanks to its nourishing ingredients, green clay is used in many ways in skin and body care for a wide range of purposes. Clay packs have been used to nourish sensitive skin, as well as clay masks in detox treatments for congested skin. The green clay contributes to a more authentic marine soak.
  • Marjoram Essential Oil
With a woody herbal scent, Marjoram oil is distilled from the flowering parts of the Origanum marjorana shrub. Throughtout history, it was used by many cultures around the world for numerous health benefits. In aromatherapy, the slighty thyme-like scent, it is said to deeply relax the mind and the body and is often used in times of tension and insomnia as well as supporting circulation.
  • Petitgrain Essential Oil
Distilled from the leaves of the bitter orange tree, Petitgrain possesses a beautifully complex scent with fresh floral yet a somewhat bitter undertone. It has been used in eau de Cologne for many years due to its beautiful aroma. Although it has refreshing properties it is at the same time relaxing, making it perfect for tiredness.
  • Patchouli Essential Oil
The deep woody scent of Pogostemon cablin is noted for the grounding atmosphere it creates. By adding an earthy note to the blend, Patchouli supports a deeply recharging experience. Patchuoli has been extensively used for scent in the East until it arrived in the West in the 1800s.
  • Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
The sweet scent of the Ylang Ylang flower is often used in aromatherapy for its reported influence on stress. Its floral hypnotic aroma is known to promote a time of peaceful calm, lifting negative mood and tension.

Maris Sal (Sea Salt), Green Clay (Illite, Kaolinite, Montmorillonite), Chrondus Crispus Powder, Citrus Aurantium Leaf Oil, Origanum Marjorana Leaf Oil, Fucus Vesiculosus Powder, Ascophyllum Nodosum Powder, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Leaf Oil, Geraniol*, Linalool* (*Naturally occurring in Essential Oils)

Winter essential

I use this foot soak on cold winter evenings as I suffer from cold feet. I like the scent too, I like scents that aren't too sweet.
